It covers grey hair with a rich black tone, conditions hair deeply and leaves it soft, silky and shiny. The pack states no PPD, no ammonia, no artificial colour and no preservatives.

How to use

1. Do the 48-hour skin allergy test first (see Good to know).
2. Mix the powder with warm water to a smooth paste.
3. Apply evenly on clean, dry hair from roots to tips, wearing gloves.
4. Leave it for 1–2 hours.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid shampoo for 24 hours for a deeper tone.

• Shikakai: gentle cleansing.

Good to know

• Do a patch test on your inner arm 24 hours before first use. Stop using it if you notice redness, itching or stinging.
• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if it gets in, rinse well with water.
• Hair colour can cause allergic reactions. Do a skin allergy test 48 hours before EVERY use: apply a little paste behind the ear or on the inner elbow and leave it for 48 hours. Don’t use it if you notice itching, redness, swelling or burning.
• Not for colouring eyebrows or eyelashes. Keep away from the eyes; if it gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
• Don’t use on a broken, irritated or sensitive scalp. Wear gloves while applying.
• If your hair is chemically coloured, permed or straightened, test on a small strand first.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
